Appreciating
Minds of All Kinds
KrysalisLD was born by The Krysalis
Group due to challenges its founder,
Donna Flagg has
faced with dyslexia in a system that tries in earnest to understand the cause,
but fails to grasp the effect. Committed to improving organizational
effectiveness, productivity and efficiency by using the unique way she sees,
Donna has devised a method of teaching and presenting information that
includes people in workplace learning and communications who may not read or
process information in a traditional and linear manner.
The idea behind KrysalisLD is to fix what is flawed about the system, rather
than focusing on what is “wrong” with the individual and trying to change him or
her. In Donna’s own words, “We are looking in the wrong places for the answers.
It doesn’t matter why people see and learn differently if we can provide them
with a way to learn and process that is successful in the first place. We can
study it all we want, but if we can’t see what the effect looks like and act on
it, the cause doesn’t really matter.” In the school system, yes. It is important
to help children understand how they learn and process. But not at work.
Since it formed in 2001, The Krysalis
Group has been creating programs for its clients that are tailored, relevant
and interesting.
